  2. I'm pondering a straight-pull, possibly a lever-release (I guess technically an interrupted semi-auto in which the bolt is held open after each shot) tactical rifle, but there are so many out there! It's really just for informal shooting, maybe the odd club competition up to 200 m, so I don't need match accuracy. As I have 22 PPC USA, 6 mm PPC USA and 6.5x47L mm bolt action rifles, plus a 45 calibre in lever action rifle (so no 458 SOCOM or Bushmaster) I'm quite interested in either 300 AAC Blackout, or maybe 308 Winchester. The leaning to the former as I really don't need the power and like the subsonic suppressed nature of the 300 AAC Blackout. I found all these are made in 300 AAC Blackout, not sure if they are any good, or what others are available? Ballistic Arms XR-15 300 Blk Competition Straight Pull Rifle 18" barrel (16" version) Calibre Innovations Side Charging ARRifle (CISCAR) Robinson Armaments XCR-L, there's a UK-legal 'lever-release' version sold by Lodock Gear in the UK (link). Other than the XCR-M in 308, not sure about other rifles in that calibre? Anyway, what are peoples' experiences and preferences in the firearms type?
  3. Now that my Fclass rifle is done, I'm thinking of a tactical build on the new MDT LSS chassis w carbine butt stock and Vortex Razor 4.5-27 scope. Would you recommend a tikka T3 action for a tactical rifle build? i'm looking at a s/h action with a bartlein 24" barrel fluted for a 260rem or 6.5creedmoor on a tikka t3 action. I read that these are available also in short action but can't seem to find any. Do they require any truing like the rem700s or are they good to go? tnks Rod
  4. Hi Guys, I have a spare Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP EBR-2C MRAD which I received as a replacement under the VIP Warranty. The original scope wouldn't hold a zero. The first thing I did was test this replacement scope and it certainly holds a zero - no problems there! £700 posted (UK). The VIP warranty is fully transferable. PM me with your email address if you need to see pictures. Cam.
  5. For sale is a very accurate Tubb 2000 Spec-Tac-LR. I have owned the rifle for a few years now after going through the ordeal of importing it myself from the US. I have used it for stalking, vermin control and long range plinking but it is equally suited to target shooting. (Bullet count is around 500) I do not do much rifle shooting any more which is the reason for the sale. The basic information is as follows.... Tubb 2000 Spec-Tac-LR in 6mmXC. Scope NOT included 24" 1-7.5 twist rate barrel designed for heavy bullets. (I have predominantly been using 105 A-Max) Fully adjustable chassis system allowing for a comfortable fit to suit any right handed shooter. Anschutz trigger which is fully adjustable from single stage to two stage and adjustable blade position and pull weight. Threaded in 5/8UNF for a moderator NOT included. £3,250 Below is a link to 3 youtube videos about this rifle by one of the designers, David Tubb. Some of the features explained are not included in the sale such as the bi-pod and muzzle break. View full playlist (3 videos)

  8. Hi,due to change of plans I have for sale this Steiner M5XI 5-25-56 military scope with illuminated MSR reticle in the first focal plane,it is unused in original factory bos and packaging, with all literature, and has butler creek caps supplied by Steiner ,I'm on the Isle of Wight, but can meet face to face in Portsmouth ,southsea,Southampton or lymington,or will post at cost, saving £400 on new ,£2100 posted, thanks for looking, please contact if you need any more information.
  9. Used but in good order, no ring marks, glass perfect, illumination works as it should, turrets track as they should. There is a mark on the edge of the windage turret knob and a tiny one on the sunshade (both happened when rifle got slid off the shooting mat by the wind!!) both marks are small, purely cosmetic and do not effect the scope at all. It comes with all the bits and packaging as supplied new. Model number is D25V42TIML thats MML ret in SFP, MIL turrets, illumination module. Check March site for full spec. These retail at £2200, I would like £1300, for this I can deliver it to a UK mainland address. Photos here: https://goo.gl/photos/c2Ukq58NiPk96WBEA This is advertised elsewhere. Thanks for looking

  17. Hi, I live in South Wales and have recently been taken a interest in practical shooting and have really taken a interest in Mini-Rifle and Tactical Shoots. However, the nearest one I can find any information on is in Manchester. Does anyone know or have any information of this discipline being practiced anywhere in South Wales or relativley close? Cheers
