  1. Delta Stryker

Contemplating the 5-50 version has any one actually bought one, i would like an honest user review.
  2. For sale is a very accurate Tubb 2000 Spec-Tac-LR. I have owned the rifle for a few years now after going through the ordeal of importing it myself from the US. I have used it for stalking, vermin control and long range plinking but it is equally suited to target shooting. (Bullet count is around 500) I do not do much rifle shooting any more which is the reason for the sale. The basic information is as follows.... Tubb 2000 Spec-Tac-LR in 6mmXC. Scope NOT included 24" 1-7.5 twist rate barrel designed for heavy bullets. (I have predominantly been using 105 A-Max) Fully adjustable chassis system allowing for a comfortable fit to suit any right handed shooter. Anschutz trigger which is fully adjustable from single stage to two stage and adjustable blade position and pull weight. Threaded in 5/8UNF for a moderator NOT included. £3,250 Below is a link to 3 youtube videos about this rifle by one of the designers, David Tubb. Some of the features explained are not included in the sale such as the bi-pod and muzzle break. View full playlist (3 videos)

  6. We're contemplating a new barrel for our DTA SRS Covert to complement its current 16 inch, 1 in 8 twist, .308. We fancy something with longer legs and, rather than tread the well worn 6.5 path, are pondering the venerable 7.92x57 Mauser. It has a fair bit more oomph than .308, with heavier bullets, and so we think it might be worth using out to 1200 yards. Maybe a 32 inch barrel with a fairly tight twist... The fall back plan is 6.5mm, but we'd value opinions on the 7.92 option.
  7. I'm dreaming of building a 6.5x47L and I was just hoping for a little feedback on the direction I plan to take, perhaps from those who have paved the way already. My initial thoughts are to base it on a Tikka T3 action, 26" Border barrel and then mount it all on an AT AICS chassis (if they actually do build the one they have designed for the T3), failing that, something much lighter, like an XLR / MDT / GC Precision. I guess my goal is to have something that will shoot well out to 1000m, shoot the wings of a gnat at 100m and not be too heavy or too long that I couldn't lug it around after fox or deer if I needed to. I guess what I'm asking is would I be better off with a UK built Rem 700 based custom action? Longer or shorter barrel? A fancy Proof carbon wrapped barrel? Scrap the 'chassis' and get a traditional stock from the likes of GRS or Manners?
  8. Just got wind of a first Long Range competition in NW Poland in September which unfortunately clashes with the F-Class Europeans this year but may be of interest for the tactical rifle guys. Besides Tactical and F-Class categories, there is also a Magnum class up to .338 "including the 7mm magnums", thereby shifting them out of the Open Class. 9. Dear all, Advice sought from those with much more experience than myself. I have just ordered an AI AT with the following specification (collect in a couple of weeks): .308 26" barrel, folding Stock (Green), tactical muzzle brake. The rifle will be used as a general purpose ‘do it all' .308 – target, tactical rifle / F class competitions (its the taking part that counts) at Diggle and Rossendale and at ranges from 100 yards – 1000 yards. Whilst almost everyone wants an S&B PMII (myself included), new they are outside my budget: therefore what would you recommend secondhand S&B (if one can be found), Nightforce, etc. No problem with buying secondhand. Thank you From the shop today, just waiting for the 'bits' to arrive before I can pick it up.
