  1. The NRA CSR & PR League concluded last Sunday, there were nearly 800 individual match entries over the season with approximately 40,000 rounds fired in competition. The Final League positions in the Historic Enfield and Iron Sights classes had been decided well before the final League matches but the winners in the Practical Optic and Service Optic classes would not be known until the last shots were fired as the top positions in each class were so close. For a change the weather was rather pleasant, the sun was out and the rain stayed away. Top calibre's and actions winning in the PO and SO Class were .223 and straight pull AR's, no fancy add on's and S&B Short Dot Scopes.

  3. Just got wind of a first Long Range competition in NW Poland in September which unfortunately clashes with the F-Class Europeans this year but may be of interest for the tactical rifle guys. Besides Tactical and F-Class categories, there is also a Magnum class up to .338 "including the 7mm magnums", thereby shifting them out of the Open Class. 6. Here are some pics from today's excellent shoot at Bisley. This was my first experience of CSR and it was fantastic. Thanks to all who organised it, gave advice and lent me kit. Trying out CSR and PR

I'm keen to try CSR and PR. I don't yet have an AR15 clone but I'm working on it... In the meantime, I have a Tikka T3 .243 varmint barrel with a "controversial" stock "(you know who" precision) and one 10 rnd AICS mag. I have other guns but this one is the closest to being suitable, I think. The gun has no bipod at present. I have a moderator but this increases weight and mirage. My questions: Until I get a more suitable rifle, can I shoot CSR +/or PR with this? What else will I need to compete (mags, bipod, sling)? Are muzzle brakes allowed? Would I need to crank the trigger pull up to 4.5lb? I have a shooter certification card from my club- do I need anything else to take part (obviously FAC, but insurance, formal course/training like prac shotgun?) Thanks, Ben
