  1. Switch Barrel Rifles

Yes I regularly switch barrels with my AT between .308 and 6.5 CM. At 150 yards there is no change horizontally between the two calibres but the .308 requires .25 moa more elevation. Barrel changes are completed in under two minutes and repeatable every time. I always change during range sessions and before stalking depending on the need. It's perfect, one scope, one trigger and two barrels. Built to last, great to shoot and very accurate out to 800+ Yards. Yes they are on the heavy side but man up and treat yourself. You won't be disappointed and it will put a smile on your face. The only regret is not owning one sooner.
  2. TRG22 or AI AT ?

I own an AT and they are incredibly well made and very accurate. The barrel change feature is brilliant and returns to perfect zero after a calibre / barrel change. Yes they are heavy but heavy is reliable!! Go for the AT you won't regret it. I may be wrong but i believe the TRG design has not changed in many years, old technology..... ? The TRG safety inside the trigger guard always concerns me.
  3. Peli case for AIAW

The SS case is £295 with professionaly cut foam. I have one and can recommend it as an equivalent to the peli case.
  4. Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor Brass

Hi Brillo Perfect, that sounds like an easy solution! Thanks, Subsonic
  5. Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor Brass

Thanks for the feedback, I have measured the existing pin and its 0.058. Could be a little tight. :-) I will speak to Spud. Many thanks, Subsonic
  6. Lapua 6.5 Creedmoor Brass

Question for the experts. Considering the new Lapua 6.5 creedmoor brass but unsure if I will need to modify my Redding full length die to allow for the smaller primer flash hole. Will I need to change the decapping pin and if so where do I source one? Thanks in advance. Subsonic
  7. Peli case for AIAW

Have you considered the sporting serices transit case for the AI AW?
  8. .308 preferred bullets / loads

Chanonry Thank you for your sermon! David was asking for advice on deer loads and specifically requests not long range loads. Why so critical of other members suggestions? Members may find your strong opinions "boring, lazy, nothing new" and perhaps missing the point. Relax, your not the only one with an opinion. Subsonic
  9. .308 preferred bullets / loads

As above, "155gr amax 44.5gr n140" & 2.81 COAL has consistently produced sub 0.5 MOA groups in three of my .308's and is a great performer on all deer species. Works equally well in my 1 in 12 and 1 in 10 barrels.
  10. Annealing Brass - Before and After

Hi All Thank you for taking the time to reply to my questions. Your feedback has helped me make the decision to start annealing. I noted the suggestions to use a gas bottle with a pressure regulator and suitable torch. Can you suggest any makes or models and where you sourced it from? Many thanks, Subsonic
  11. Hi All I am not a competitive shooter but appreciate accuracy and work hard at my reloading technique. I have followed the annealing debates with interest and have spent too many hours researching via the internet. The over whelming opinion is in favour of the annealing process. It looks like the logical next step for me. The annealing machine bought by several members on this forum looks great and I am on the edge of placing an order. The missing piece of the jigsaw for me is some feedback from those who anneal on what benefits you have seen. I would appreciate some real life examples of the results or issues you experienced before starting to anneal and the benefits you have seen after you started annealing. Has anyone experienced a loss of accuracy after annealing (assuming its done correctly) or is it always positive? I am looking forward to your feedback. Subsonic
  12. Spuhr ISMS for AI AT

Hi All I am considering the Spuhr ISMS 1-Piece Scope Mount for an AI AT with a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 x 56. Can anyone please advise me on the correct height mount if trying to keep the scope as low as possible? Many thanks, Subsonic
  13. Hi, is the rifle still for sale?

  14. Rebarrel Recommendations

Hi All Thanks for your replies, Niel is clearly highly recommended and will be my first call. Hi Mikeroz, I am based in the South West.
  15. Rebarrel Recommendations
