I am getting a AI AXMC in 300 norma magnum with the intention of shooting out to a mile and maybe abit more, I have always been a Schmidt and bender fan but their quality control hit a blip, not sure if it has been sorted.. I am after a high end scope, what options are there, I am open to night force and March but not sure of models.. Looking forward to those with experience in this area?

I have broken this, does anyone know where I can get a new elastic, washer and bolt? Kind regards

Hi Folks, I am looking for a new range finder for past 1000 metres upto a mile and possibly more, my swarovski 10x42 RF are not upto this, shame! Seen abit on youtube about sig sauer etc, so what do you folks use? Look forward to those in the know. Cheers

Well I guess if I manage the mi I guess if I get a mile I may want to go further but its probably unlikely due to access to these areas but who knows, nice to have that capability. I think 338 abit over kill, for my land use.

Thanks catch -22 will take a look at this, cheers Okay I have heard about the belted magnum so maybe rule of 7mm rem magnum, I will take a look at the SAUM though. I quite like the look of chassis just simple and effective, I have my hunting rifles in mcmillan stocks so nice to have a change with the chassis easier to dry out and clean if get soaked.

Never considered it, was just thinking 7mm the way to go but will take a look as I say this is the early stages and everyone has their take on it. Will definately consider it and do abit of research.

Right folks, I am looking at having this rifle for long distance work, wanting to get the golden mile, been working on it with the .260 but have decided to go 7mm and looking at the 7mm-300 win mag or maybe the 7mm rem mag (not sure). What build would you go for, I suppose I could go Accuracy International again, (I like the chassis systems) you know what your getting, but other options are there? Also which Scope and mounts (options) Most of my shooting is on private land or Orion, I don't do F-class or spend days at the ranges, so not into F-class target rifle builds if you know what I mean! Look forward to hearing what option there are Budget, there isn't one really, last rifle I am buying so it will be a good one.

I try not to think about it too much, it will get even more expensive!

Hi Folks, I need abit of help here as out my depth. I am shooting an AI AT (20moa rail) with a sphur 0 moa one piece mount and a S&B 5-25x56 scope, I want to take this .260 out to a mile, but using strelok it is saying 242 clicks, I don't have that adjustment in the scope, even tried doubling scope height in strelok and that didnt help too much, thinking that would reduce the clicks, now whats going on? Any advice appreciated from those in the know Cheers

Well its been a while since I started this thread but getting there, 1000 metres completed today, 3.5 inch group. I am using Strelok and a weather metre, I attempted this last week and had 25 shots drop low, then remembered from the year before that on strelok you have to 'use zeroing weather' button, i didn't, when I realised and did, there was 6 clicks difference. Today I used what the app said but it was low, even updating the app, so used previous sessions info and spot on and the results show. I have the Mile as the next challenge, wish me luck!.

Hi Folks, I have seen similar posts but they don't answer the question that I have. So I have had my Sako Range for many years, accounted for a few rabbits lets say. I like the rifle that much I want to use it more as a trg rifle to improve my full bore stuff, learning the ropes with dialling in etc. So what I am looking for is something I can add to the picatinny rail, I have a wraith nv unit on there and use a Meopta 6x42 for most day time stuff. I would like a scope with an illuminated dot, very good glass reliable turrets for dialing in etc, this will be for both vermin and ELR work, what do you recommend? Cheers
