  1. We're all in need of some optimism at the moment instead of all the doom and gloom 👍
  2. Cancelling all shooting until September is getting way too far ahead of themselves... Let's have some optimism FFS..!
  3. Originally it ran on 39.8grs of H4350 pushing the 139gr scenars and 140gr amaxs.. I used 50 shots of 39grs of RS60 to launch the 140gr amaxs loads i hunted with.. Once the H4350 dried up its been running on RS62..
  4. Ok thanks.. I've never used it before and it sounds worth a try 👍
  5. Photo of the throat of my 6.5x47
  6. My 6.5x47 pac-nor super match barrel has done 2000 shots and it's begining to copper foul quite badly now.. Its had a hard life shooting 200 and 300yds McQueens . Also 600 and occasional 1000yds snaps comps. At the moment is still shooting great. I recently bought a teslong borescope and it looks pretty firecracked. Photo is the patches used to clean the bore soaking in the dolphin muzzle brake. Approx 90 shots through the barrel before this clean.. There's probaly 12 patches in the brake ports No copper in the bore on inspection.
  7. The main reason I use my GE on 40 mag is the subtensions on the reticle measure in 1 moa and I can then measure my poi to make adjustments to my mean wind and elevation.
  8. I use a vortex golden eagle for f class out too 1200yds.. SFP with a really small dot. It has 60x magnification. I've never used more than 40 mag.. Summertime with miraging about 20 at most.
  9. I see.. Apparently the rifle does benefit accuracy wise from a little free recoil on the ski feet with a soft shoulder because it won't bounce or muzzle flip so much from what I've read.. also you need your body to be parallel with the barrel because the rearward movement of the rifle becomes angular and the muzzle will flip more the opposite way to the direction your laying in..
  10. Hi Palo. Yes that maybe possible. I'd not thought of that 👍
  11. I'm aiming to keep the scope as close to the barrel as i can..
  12. What height 30mm picattiny rings would I need to fit on a remmy action with a Armalon 20 moa rail with an S111 sightron 8-32x56 with a 1.250 to 0.900 at the muzzle barrel..?? I thought there must be lots of shooters with this combo and the easiest way to pre-order some rings. Cheers NID
  13. I used a couple of 3.5kg tubs of N540 in my 308 and it trashed my barrel. When I went back to RS40 and 155gr scenars I chased the rifling to find the bullets bolt tail was nearly out of the case it had eroded so bad 😂
  14. The BR4's will give you a low ES in my experience. Saying that I've never used any other sr primer ðŸĪŠ. I have got some sr muroms to try that Brillo gave me to test but I've not got around too it yet. Eric Cortina filmed himself shooting at 1000yds with his 284 f class rig and shot a 1.3 inch group and his first 4 shots were in I think 0.4 inches and his 5th shot open it up too 1.3 inches.. His best ever group and over the labradar he had an ES of 18fps over 4 shots as one of the shots didn't read..
  15. The 6.5wsm pushing a 139gr scenar at 3400fps will drift about 1 inch more than the 184s in my saum according to my bal cal figures but we wernt talking about super duper wildcat 6.5s that I was aware of.. 400 shots barrel life 😅
  16. According to my ballistic calculator a 139gr scenar in my 6.5x47 the bullet will drift 84 inches in a 10mph full value wind My 184gr hybrids in my 7mm saum will drift 61 inches.. If I was to use the 180gr ELDM's and 190gr A tip bullets it's 5 to 10 inches less than the 184gr hybrids. Again according to my bal cal a 180gr ELDM shot 100fps less in my 26 inch barrelled 284 it shoots inside 184gr hybrids in my 30 inch 7mm saum..!!
  17. Is the case neckwall thicker than 11 thousandths.. I've no experience with a 223 calibre but 1 thousanths was pretty close guestimate 😋
  18. The bullets width plus 2 times the case neckwall then get bushing 1 or 2 thousanths smaller for the neck tension you require. I think a 223 bullet is actually .224 plus 2 x 11 thousandths neck wall would give you no neck tension.. 3 bushings would cover your needs .243, .244 and a .245 off the top of my head
  19. Group photo with the V3 magnetospeed on...
  20. I've tried shooting groups with the V3 magnetospeed on and the load that shot the best without the magnetospeed on shot the same with it on.. I just happened to be chronying the load that shot superbly and rather than just bang off 5 shots into the backstop I fired 1 shot at the target.. I adjusted the elevation up then aimed at the bullet hole and shots nearly all went in the same hole. The shot that stepped out the group a fraction was probaly driver error
