  1. British Shooting Show - No Dogs

Thank you Brown dog for the explanation, I've stopped crying now.
  2. British Shooting Show - No Dogs

Would be nice to be informed as to why it was removed, or am I expecting too much ? Anyway I'll be at the shooting show, looking forward to it, seems like all the other shows are falling in number of attendees and fieldsport interest. Like allot of shooting sports there seems to be a divide in opinions and class.
  3. British Shooting Show - No Dogs

Strange ??? my post seems to have been removed. Was it offensive ??? It was referring to dog's being taken to the show as part of the dress code. Or words to that effect. As quite a few have commented why drag a dog round an extremely packed hall, even if permitted like the previous shows. Not only is it stressful for the dog's the trip hazards from leads is just ridiculous.

  5. reload costs

What price do you put on a smile ??? I have no idea what it costs me for each bullet I load, and not really bothered, i know beer in the local is £3.20 a pint i used to pay 56p
  6. reload costs

If I needed to keep track of the cost per bang I'm afraid i would pack up shooting and take up dominoes.
  7. Drone pro on Sako 591

    As above, I have 1 on a S491
  8. Problem with reloading press

Strip it, give it a good clean in solvent then put it back together having given it a good oiling. Bet you have some brass swarf wedged in the piston.

  10. .22-250 36 Grain Varmint Grenades

Showed poor results on fox's over 250yds, too frangible to drop fox's reliably compared to 55grn Nosler bt and 53 grn + vmax.
  11. Trying to figure out who you were on the bales, ???
  12. Thank you meles meles, twas I with the 260. ;-) It's a good day out, very informal all about having fun. Must say though you've added a few yards on the blue fox. Lol Had a laugh last year I shot a face on a newly sprayed muntjac at 400. 2 eye's a nose and started the smile, but pulled a the 3rd shot and gave it 2 noses.
  13. Drying cases?

Don't any of you have wives that use an oven, I put mine on an oven tray after the ovens been used, just be careful you don't bury a case in the rice pudding.
  14. long range vermin

Forget the HMR. 17 remington is a nice round to shoot, I'm getting around 30 shots before accuracy starts to drift. You will have a few problems sourcing brass though if your reloading, which I would recommend. Apart from that I would definitely recommend it. Then as others have said the 20s will fill the gap quite well. That's my 17 Remmington:-)
