Pretty much everything is available to us here, most popular full size rimfire choice is to get a Rim-X with either a PROOF Prefit or have a barrel spun up by your favourite rifle builder and drop it into a chassis/stock that suits your purpose.

Yes I had the ARCA spigot on mine, it helped push more weight further forwards.

I put about 7k rounds of 6.5 creed through rifles in a bravo back in 2019. Didn’t like the small pistol grip or having to remove the cheek piece to get the bolt out. The recoil lug also floated on the Howa inlet which always made me nervous. The lack of simple options to increase the weight or add simple things like an ARCA rail was annoying as well. if you’re looking at a bravo also consider an MDT XRS, they look similar only they’re easier to live with.

Rimfire ammo is usually poor over the chrono as it doesn’t really matter much when shooting for group close range. The Eley was only a small sample of 25rd as well. My current lot of SK Long Range has been the exception and the consistency over the chrono translates to good vertical further out.

I tried some Eley match through my Rim-X midweek whilst visiting a tunnel range. Top group is 10 at 100m, middle is 10 at 50m and bottom was the last 5 shots in the mag at 50m. It shows some promise, though I expect it would improve with the tuner. I did notice the lighter coloured lead bullets makes it easy to watch them in flight.

Is there much of a temp difference between the two session?

Did you chamfer the mouths? That has marked impact on seating consistency in my experience. I’m running through a batch of virgin BR brass currently, mandrel and a chamfer is all it’s getting before loading. So far the results have been excellent.

Can confirm the Garmin is very easy to use and even captures Airgun pellets reliably.

How much cant do you need? 20, 30, 40 and 50MOA rails are readily available for the 457.

Loved visiting Budleigh, it’s a great range. Nice one dude, conditions were great yesterday. SK Match and LRM has been a great performer in our rifles over the past few years. I’d love to try some Midas or Tenex, however the performance I get consistently makes me reluctant to change anything. The only person you need to be better than is your own last performance, keep tracking it and enjoy the process.

I helped Dad zero his NV earlier this evening, as I’d cleaned the chamber and swapped chassis on my 22 after the worlds. I wanted to get some rounds down it before this weekend’s match. The group is 10 shots at 100y, shot as quickly as I could run the bolt. The first shot went left and after watching that one in, I held 0.2 right. It usually takes 20-30 shots to settle in after a chamber cleaning and I expected to have to adjust the tuner following the chassis swap, but it looks like conditions were pretty good!

We're always the weakest link! Are you coming to any of the upcoming 22 matches? There's a few more at Pro Shoot and I believe a couple more due at Zero One. I'm keen to see what kind of 200m consistency I can get on paper with mine over winter as a side project.

Final bit of data confirmation yesterday before heading to the 22 precision rifle world champs. 10 shots at 200m, looking at vertical dispersion and it proves that the data from the Kestrel is good. Shame about the one that went wide right making it up to just over 3.5”. Either way I’m interested enough to see what the rimmies will do on paper later in the year.

You're correct, I didn't include the website link as I was doing other things whilst replying. Quite the contrary to getting people involved as the numbers seem to be increasing each time out and the national leader board numbers keep growing. Like most things shooting it just takes a quick google, or making contact with the clubs/organisations actively putting on events, it's in everyones best interest to increase participation numbers. Last year it was November the PRS UK calendar was announced on social media and put on the website, which made planning our year of fullbore competitions simple.

Similar things PRS UK matches count towards the Precision Rifle Series UK leader board and finale - The top 5 overall get spots at the PRS finale in the US. PRS UK matches also feed into the GBPRA National leader board, from here the top shooters per category earn their place on the British team to shoot in the IPRF (International Precision Rifle Federation World Championships). The GBPRA exists to develop Precision Rifle Shooting in the UK and send a British team to the IPRF world champs, both centrefire and rimfire. Best thing to do is jump in to a match and get stuck in, there's every chance we'll see more PRS matches at Bisley, held over winter and organised by the NRA so there'll be more options to ring steels!

6GT is so similar to a 6x47 my American buddy uses the same charge weight and doesn’t adjust his seating die between the two. If you want to have the most for the least recoil then a BR based cartridge is where it’s at. Brass is relatively simple to get and to form into improved versions. Feeding is no problem with the correct mags and a decent chassis with an adjustable mag catch.
