    Brass Trim Length

I've used both methods. Being lazy I favour the Little Crow Trimmer and I feel it will give me more consistent case neck lengths. Regards JCS

    Brass Trim Length

Trim length results depend on what kind of trimmer you are using. With a Wilson trimmer I'm getting consistent case lengths as the trimmer indexes on the case head. With my Little Crow trimmer I'm getting consistent neck lengths as the trimmer indexes on the case shoulder. I prefer consistent neck lengths. Regards JCS

They are both good devices, but I've recently moved from a XQ38F to an Accolade XQ38. I would suggest looking at the Accolade options too. Regards JCS

    .284 win Doughnuts

Donuts? There are many schools of thought on this. Ignore them. Ignore them and seat the bullet forward of the neck shoulder junction. As in the post above, neck turn to remove brass from the neck shoulder junction. Use an internal mandrel cutter to remove material from the neck shoulder junction. Just use new brass. There are issues and benefits to all of these approaches. Pick the one that works for you or come up with another approach. Have fun. JCS
