Does anyone have any experience on these? They attach directly to the front of the scope and are in line with the centre line of the scope so no faffing about with zeroing. I have not seen one in darkness to tell what the sight picture is like - has anyone else? Also interested in the useable range where positive ID of a fox would be.

In no way comparable to a dedicated or rear mounted unit. People will jump on the boat that has been round so many time with front mounted add ons and in the end be mostly disappointed. Low mag unit and fixed resolution eye display that you zoom into with your scope, the image will get bigger, but not better, then you to need long arms to adjust focus... only really suitable for low mag with your scope.

If you want a digital removable add on, make sure you have a parrallax adjustable scope and just by a ward 800...

Scott Country had one at the Midland Game fair mounted to an airsoft rifle with loose scope and picatinny rail so it was hard to even hold steady. It is alledgedly the first in the UK but like has been said, its a stand in assistant and you need readly long arms to reach the controls, mounted like a huge lever on the end of your scope.

I shall wait to be amazed

Ok thanks, just wondered if they were an improvement over previous front mount nv.

In principle they should be a lot better than the current front mounted digital add-on the DFA75, if only because the objective lens will be in line with the scope rather 2 inches above it as is the case with the DFA75.

As has been said in another forum, these add-ons work well with low magnification scopes, because at higher magnification all the individual pixels in the display (which is what your scopes sees) will be very visible.

It would be good for large targets at close range - eg boar, but poor for small targets at long range - e.g. typical foxing in the UK.

Cheers

Bruce
