rimmie
I have recently bought a Remington 11-48 .410. On firing the barrel stays in the fired position for a Cecil's or two, then it will cycle, pick up a new round etc.... my question is WHY ??? I have been advised the little meter runner underneath the bottom part of the bolt might be bent, but it isn't. Although is has got a few dings in it (see second video) you can see about of roughness in the second video, and its roughly at this point the barrel is sticking when fireing. Any thoughts please. srvet
I'm no gunsmith but it sounds awful squeaky! Have you stripped and lubed it?

baldie
Strip it, clean it and check none of the bolt rails are bent. That is a mechanical hang up, that is eventually overcome by the recoil spring. Would be worth taking that out, and cleaning. Old autos suffer from rain ingress to the recoil spring, and go rusty. It looks to me like the cartridge lifter is sticking [if it has one ]
rimmie
I'm starting to think something is bent, as I can't get the bolt out ?
