CZ527 .22 Hornet Magazine

Ive got a second hand cz 527 , that came with two magazines, one that has been untouched and another with what looks like a bodge job at trying to get the longer 40gr vmax type bullet to fit, looks to me as if they have just removed material from the rear plastic part rather than doing anything with the metal parts? my question is , does anyone on the forum modify there mags themselves and if so would be willing to take a look at mine and see if its just a bin job or can be saved?
