Hobbit
Hi quick question on safes and the law and switch barrel firearms If you have a rifles where the barrel comes off - can you take of the barrel and the bolt and store them and then not have to put the stock and receiver in the safe?? With the blazers for example there is no action to speak of so the barrel comes off, so does the bolt and arguably the action and even the trigger so all these can go in the safe and leave the bare stock out - but do you have to lock an AI or other action up even if there is no bolt and barrel?? Thanks Hobbit
lapua
If you can buy it without a licence, there is no need to lock it up. Simple.
Hobbit
Thanks That means a bolt less barreless action needs to go in the safe??? H

Blue Haze
Any pressure bearing components are licensable, and therefore must be locked up. In my opinion, the action would be the bit a person with bad intentions would most want... why not just pop the barreled action out and in the safe if you're short on space? No need to lock the stock up.
Tikka4Sika
Or to put it another way , try explaining to the Rozzers you've lost a pressure component and it wasn't locked up , bye bye FAC , hello big fine.
