Tikka T3 .223 Remington

Recommended Posts

This one started life as a T3 Lite in .222

Barrel is now a Sassen 8 twist chambered in 223 Remington and throated for the heavier for caliber bullets.

The McMillan A3-5 stock is Devcon bedded with fat pillars, barrel channel and mag well are all painted in dark matt grey to match the Devcon.

AI floor plate and mag system, standard trigger cleaned, polished and lightened. The action and barrel are painted in Coyote Tan cerakote, the rail, bolt and barrel flutes are armour black satin, threaded 18x1 with the usual invisible cap.

A tactical bolt knob with a swept back handle and a Tier One rail finished things off.

How much is a paint job like that Al? Do you do it house?

I dont take in paintwork jobs on their own CG as Im an engineer not a painter, I would far rather leave it to an expert who I feel will do a good job.

I offer cerakoting only as part of a full rifle build or rebarrel. Paintwork like this will vary from £250-£400 depending on who you use, if the barrel wasn't fluted then it would be cheaper as there was some intricate masking to do.

Although i've never met you, or had the pleasure of using a rifle you've built, your work never ceases to impress me Big Al.

Thats very kind of you to say Chaz, hopefully we can remedy that sometime in the future! :)

I live and hope Big Al!

But it has been a dream of mine to have a full custom job at some point. So when that time comes, i'll certainly be contacting you! :)

Cheers

Chaz.
