Big Al Posted February 13, 2017 Report Share Posted February 13, 2017 I posted this rifle out to a customer today, hopefully he will get as much satisfaction using it as I did building it. I supplied the donor Tikka M595 which was fitted with a fluted Sasson 8 twist barrel chambered in .223 Remington and throated with 77gr Sierra TMK and 75 Amax in mind. The action is Devcon bedded into a McMillan Sako Varmint stock in black/olive/grey. The barrel and action are cerakoted in Magpul OD green, the bolt, shroud, handle and magazine/bottom metal and action screws are all cerakoted in armour black. I fitted a tactical bolt knob to the original handle and converted the standard magazine to seat the longer bullets, a Tier One rail completed things. I look forward to seeing how well she shoots once the load development is complete and I would have gladly kept this rifle for myself. Someone came into the workshop last week to specify a .243 stalking rifle build. I was fitting the rail to this rifle when he came in and afterwards I gave it to him to look at.
