gun nut
Foxandy, this powder in 6.5x55 is very primer sensitive. You need a hot primer for it to work, I suspect that's one of the reasons for your sooty previous experiences. Load 10 to that recipe and try them, if it doesn't work you've lost about half an hour and £5 of components. But it will Mike Ps shot reds, roe, fallow, muntjac and sika with that load and it hit like Thors' hammer.

Boydy47
I'm running 44 under 120 NBTs with CCI BR primers, sooty cases in colder weather so am going to load them up to 46 gr for this winter which was the next accuracy node now i know they're not causing too much damage
Finman
My "go to" with 120gn prohunters was 49gn N160, CCIBR2, Lapua cases. I've even loaded hotter but not needed, cases started to loosen primer pockets after 3 firings. I loaded to saami lengths and it was 1/2" or better, out of a sako IV. Good luck Finman
