Making a SunnRanger is a piece of percy......... buy a TR38 from Skany aka Andy at Ludicrous Lumens using the UKV discount if you qualify..... buy a Ranger lens from microglobe - either a 3x42 or for more oomph, a 4x50..... unscrew the original TR38 lens and screw on the Ranger lens.

Second and fourth items on here...

I get a better beam (i.e. tighter focus) by cutting/grindiing/turning the knurled bit of the pill back the torch body as I found it would change mode when the Ranger's moving rear lens contacted the pill when adjusting the focus - this was with the 3 mode pill, I guess it wouldn't have the same problem with a single mode pill.

If you've got an old T20 in the drawer then cut the shroud of the bezel back to the threads and just screw the Ranger lens on.... buy one of Clive's BackSun T20 pills to get the best out of it.

I mount my torches on the Drone on the side rail using an offset mount to put it top right of the body where I can easily reach it and it puts the moderator in the shadow of the objective which will improve your picture no end...even the original torch and mount that used to be supplied with the DP mounted on top put the moderator in the glare of the torch....... the torch just needs a bit of shimming to get it aligned.
