Elwood
i did this last year ,great course. Do you mean you did the GB F class League's introduction to F class? This one is run by the NLRC and does appear to be a carbon copy of the GB league's course.
22lrman
Looks like a great few days. Would you accept a harris bipod and rear bag as sufficient for this. Scope and rifle itself would be fine.

Eagernoskill
i did this last year ,great course. Morning all .. sorry late reply been travelling and lousy internet. This is NOT the GB F-Class Association course that Mik and co, have presented so successfully for many years, The GB F-class association course is only in Q4 of 2017 This is presented by the F-class section of the NLRC with the support of the NLRC committee. The NLRC has invested in comprehensive reloading room to support the endeavours of F-Class shooter, and we are presenting the core skills and knowledge to shooters, that the bridge the skills from novice to club. The GB association League is in my opinion one of the best in the world in terms of organisation and quality and the gap can be very intimating for most shooters looking at joining our sport. As for content ,, it is based on the content and presentation method I have used on several lectures presented at the NLRC. And yes the content is similar since the foundations of success in F-class are similar.

Scope and rifle itself would be fine. Morning ... the Harris bipod would of course suffice. There is so much to learn and be aware of that you would benefit. You may find on or two participants have have equipment you can try or loan and experiment with. Its NOT a competition.. its a learning opportunity. Eagernoskill
Forgive the dumb question: But what's F-Class appropriate? Scrumbag In the FTR class its a 308 WIN (or 223 if you brave) with a scope, bipod and a rear bag. The OPEN class allows ANY calibre up to 0.338 and allows the use of a rifle rest (is not a bipod that is mounted onto rifle). You can actually also use a bipod on your open rifle All caliber subject to the the Bisley range rules.s and performance SO arriving with a ".17 Whizzybang" or old iron sighted 303 SMLE and sling etc ic not optimal or appropriate

Eagernoskill
Shouldnt that read any calibre up to 8mm? "All caliber subject to the the Bisley range rules.s and performance " Its a training course... not a competition .. so if someone arrived with some exotic calibre as long as its Bisley safe he is welcome to participate and learn. 0.338 Lapua Magnum is in fact the limit on Bisley .. i.e you CANNOT shoot it. The F-Open rules are "An ‘F’ Class Open (F/O) rifle may be of any calibre up to and including 8mm and the overall weight must not exceed 10kg including all attachments (such as, but not limited to, its sights and bipod, if any). NB: An ‘attachment’ is defined as including any external object (other than the competitor, his sling (if any) and his apparel) which recoils (or partially recoils) with the rifle, or which is clamped, magnetically or viscously held, or in any other way joined to the rifle for each shot, or which even slightly rises with the rifle when vertically lifting the latter from its rest(s)." So does that include the 8.99 mm?
1967spud
i wouldnt have thought so as 8.99 is larger than 8.0mm
