You e-mail me and let me know you want one. Then I'll send you our Bank Details for payment (You can do credit / debit card but we would have to pass on the 3% cost to you). We'll get them ordered in and once they arrive (usually 2 weeks) we'll run them through our QA and then get them packed up and out to you on next day courier. At any time before you receive your scope you can cancel and get an immediate refund. Then at any time within 14 days of receiving your scope you can return it (providing it is in as new condition) again for a full refund. This is the first time we have run a group buy type thing but with having to increase the pricing on the big boys at the top end of the WT1 line (against our company ethos), I am keen to get an affordable thermal rifle scope into you grubby little hands so you can see just how good they are. Interest, thoughts and feedback most welcome.CheersClive

SteveW
"Everything is the same as the bigger scopes in the WT1 series, just this one is fitted with a 35mm direct focus lens giving 3-12x magnification." Clive, could you clarify the "direct focus lens" is this the same as the WT1-73-3 with the three magnification settings or does it mean you can set anywhere between X3 and X12? Thanks Steve
CliveWard
Hi All, To try to answer the questions... Detection range will be roughly half that of the WT1 75-3. With that you can ID moving rabbits at silly distances, i.e. 700 yards! So 300-350 would be sensible for that size target. Further for a bigger target, but at extended ranges you would start to struggle to tell the difference between a badger and fox for example in long grass or growing crop. I'm very conservative with shootable ranges. Sensibly I would say shooting out to 150 yards in even poor conditions. Obviously if you have a fox moving on a fresh drilling then you will get absolute positive ID further out, 200-250 maybe. I do cringe a bit when I see video of people essentially shooting at blobs at 300+ yards with another manufacturers slightly lower spec 3x thermal rifle scope. When I mention shooting ranges, that is where you can easily and 100% identify visually what you are about to put a bullet in. There's no video of the unit yet but if you search youtube for thermal hunting WT1 and look at the videos for the WT1 75-3 the target will essentially look the same at half the quoted range. The higher end models have an internal focus with a top focus knob moving a relay lens. The WT1 35-3 has a traditional rotating objective focus. Because of the increased depth of field you wouldn't really need to adjust it once set. The magnification settings work the same, i.e. 3x native mag, then press the nearest button on the keypad to cycle through 6x digital and 12x digital and back to 3x optical again. lapua
Perhaps some footage of the actual unit in action would tempt people.
CliveWard
Perhaps some footage of the actual unit in action would tempt people. It's the same sensor as the WT1 75-3 just with half the mag so if you look at the videos for that model the image will be the same but at half the range, or at the same range things will look half the size. Then you have to factor in that the unit's OLED display gives a 3-4x better image than the captured video. I'll get some videos up when they arrive shortly anyway. Point&Shoot
Hi Clive, Did the Thermal scopes arrive, how about some video ?
CliveWard
Hi Clive, Did the Thermal scopes arrive, how about some video ? Yep they've come in and gone out to customers many times over now. I've got another delivery due again this week that has a spare one in it, so I'll pop out with that when I get time (as long as nobody orders it in the meantime).
