baldie
Todays rifle is somewhat of a themed gun. The customer had an idea of basing the gun on the film, with relevant camo etc. I started with a short action predator. This was fitted with a Sassen 1 in 8.5 twist , heavy straight taper blank at 24" and chambered in 6.5 x 47 lapua. Threaded 18mm x 1 and invisible capped with an 11 degree target crown. It also has a bespoke , One less Charlie stainless moderator too. All metalwork was then Ceracoated in H series Coyote Tan. The Stock is a McMillan A5 and it has a third eye floor plate, machined in, pillared, and devon bedded all the way through. This locks the action and the floor plate together [not permanently ] and gives a rock solid action/magazine area. Trigger is a Timney Calvin Elite unit. The paint is half a dozen shades of Duracoat, a couple of Predator head logo,s ...all sealed with satin lacquer. A very effective camouflage pattern....especially in Autumn.
