Well, this is the answer so far:

 

 

It is worth noting that you are using a yahoo email address to send email but using PHPMail, this will cause issues with deliver-ability seeing as the receiving server will not get the correct SPF codes from the DNS.

 

May as well be in Swahili. I've asked for clarification (translation!) - and, of course, this wasn't an issue before.

+1 on no longer getting emails about pm's. I got a new computer and assumed it was something to do with that!

Hopefully fixed now. Apparently the system had reset in such a way that system emails would not be recognised by many computers.

They should now be coming from admin@ukvarminting.com, which should sort it.

SPF records are used amongst other things for reverse dns look-up. So basically what they were saying is because the email comes from a yahoo address, when the receiving email server (google mail, hotmail etc) receive it they will look at what ip sent the email (your server) and if the domain of the email being sent from has an spf record of that ip giving authority to send them. If not then it will refuse it. Most email servers perform this but some don't. So it is basically a check to make sure someone isn't spoofing it.
