It's the x5 with the doubler,

Black and white screen,

IMO the better of the 2, as I have been playing with the new x10 colour and what I don't like is the screen issue when shooting at dusk, the screen flicks from bandw to colour and it's a pain in the Rs

I would love the new x10 with a black and white screen, IMO it would be the best thing out there, so as that's never going to happen I'm happy with my x5 with the doubler,

And this is a steel.

Do you have any issues with the doubler losing zero etc?

If the question was for me, I have not had any issues with the doubler coming loose,

My rifle is a 20 tac so not much recoil and the estate gun is a old BSA 22/250 and it has not had any issues,

I think you will find that if you ask Carl nicely he can convert the latest Drones to B&W only.

How old is the unit?

Unit was purchased in March 2014 shall we call it a mk1 as its the early type x5 with doubler fitted now x10 it is a black and white screen day and night and no problems with holding zero.

if that's the case ill Ask,

I only call it the MK1 for ease as the new drone is 10 mag and colour, and the older one is B&W and can be dropped to 5 mag.

Bob, ive used my 10x at dusk and it "drifts" from colour to b&w for a while, i wouldnt say it "flicks", hardly an inconvenience, youre still able to shoot. If youre planning any daytime use the benefit of the colour far outweighs the issue.

HI Gary

I think its just me I just don't like it, and if Carl does the new x10 in B/W then I will change at some point, just for the sake of it being one unit rather than X5 with a doubler, I think its a great bit of kit and would not be without one now,

when I met up with Carl at the show last year we had a good chat about the drone and attachments I also mentioned a few other things I have came across while testing the drone and some changes where already on the sheet for the new one, but using it more and more there are a few more to be looked at (IMO)and to be honest Carl is a top man and will listen and pass on your findings to the boffins back in the USA.

needless to say I am no expert just a user who has a few ideas ( none of the points effect how it works now just ideas ) and I am not having a go, just pointing out things that they may like to hear the users thoughts on,

anyway I'm out doing a demo with my 2 tonight so there could be a few new sales for Carl after tonight.
