Had a phone call this morning a lady down not far from me has lost a lot of ducks and chickens to the foxes said i will have a look for her ,so i took my 17hmr with me and shot 6

2 vixens

1 old dog fox

3 medium cubs hope that sorts the problem her fields are crawling in rabbits no shortage of food for the foxes but still had to kill her chickens ,she is quiet upset about her loss. Some of her neighbours have been feeding them, they will not be coming for supper tonight

Well done - that's some going! I shot two large dog foxes on a chicken farm last night - the owner is of the opinion that they are 'drop-outs' - that is, releases by one of the so-called animal 'charities'. I've hammered the vulpine population there, so for two males - who would normally fight each other, to suddenly be in the same place at the same time is highly suspicious.

Foxes won't chase rabbits around when there's a easier meal to be had ;) me and a mate have had 5 the last 2 nights from the same place all over 300 yards best being mine last night at 414 yards just before dark :)

Keep at it Gaz

Was that with the .223AI Gaz or the BR mate?

They must have all been flukes though in any case, as I keep getting told reliable shots past 200 yards and at that range can't be done! Lol

Good shooting buddy, we must use the same tutor lol

In most cases that simply means that the complainer can't hit a fox at that range. If he thinks it's hard, tell him to try the same thing off standing sticks with NV!
