OPTICS WAREHOUSE....................10/10

I would like to give some praise and good feed-back on behalf of Optics Warehouse, I have had quite a few dealings with them and have bought several Rifle scopes, Rings/mounts/adaptors and various accessories over some time.

they have always been efficient with quick delivery sensible prices and helpful advice, on the occasion that I have had any problem with an item (Manufactures problem not theirs) they have dealt with it quickly, fairly and without any negativity

they are genuinely concerned and you feel you are in good hands and can have confidence that they will always keep their part of the bargain, which as you may well know is not always what happens these days with distance buying and too many suppliers can 'mess you about' after you have bought something !

if like me you are apprehensive before you buy on line etc. I hope this points you in the way of a 'decent' supplier

by the way,my most recent purchase from Optics Warehouse is a Bushnell Elite Tactical ERS 6-24 x 50 FFP (G2DMR) £665

16/05/15 Up-date :- paid for scope Friday arrived next day Saturday....and I live on the Isle of Wight !

So far +1

Just ordered an S&B PMII from them, good advice, called back when asked and a very good price.

Only downside and its not their fault is a 6 week wait from S&B: I will update when it arrives.

I will have to clarify my comment above, good advice, price and helpful: but been advised yesterday that my order period isn't 6 weeks but up to 3 months and 2 weeks + 3-5 days UK postage.

Therefore before placing an order I would recommend that written agreement of the delivery period is obtained and not just verbal.

I will post when it arrives (maybe they are just being cautious? I do hope so)

Geek - get one of Foxy's 8 - 32 Chinese jobbies to get you shooting. Great to have as a back- up for £125

Completely agree here. I have three one on my 308, one on my 6.5x47 and one on my .223. All have been flawless for four years now, can't complain.

Thanks for all the help today, pity it was too late to shoot.

I can honestly say that initial impressions are very good for what is a cheap scope

Geek and the Gun Pimp and two others took three scopes to the 1000 yard point today. The three scopes were a Nightforce NSX 8 - 32, a new VX6 7-42 Leupold and, just for fun, one of Brian Fox's cheapo Chinese jobbies - also in 8-32.

We were set up with bipods and back bags on an F Class target - predominantly black with white rings. I'll be doing a full report for Target Shooter magazine shortly but we were all blown away with the quality of the optics on the £125 scope!

Update - chased up my order yesterday and S&B are advising first week in September for delivery to the retailer - it will be Christmas at this rate before it arrives :(

What have you found with regard to how they track please?

For £125 what could we realistically expect?

I have one of the 6.5-20x50 Fox scopes on a .22lr and I was very impressed with it but an accident saw it rendered useless so in the short term I replaced it with Viper PST, I was very surprised at how much sharper and clearer the image was.

I was going to go to Rossendale to check the cycling of my 10/22 (now that I have it back) to see if the shop had fixed the extraction problem (when they modified the rifle it hasn't cycled very well since - a bit hit and miss or more correctly fire and not fire), also take my son. The McQueen's does sound interesting and is something I want to try.

I will bring both rifles to Diggle on Sunday (one to shoot and one to test fire): usual start time as F class?

I used it to shoot 800yards F class with factory ammunition two weeks ago. The call was that the bullets were subsonic at that range, the limitation was the ammunition not the scope.

Sporting Services.

Thank you for the prompt response, I did contact them when I was informed of the longer delivery period than I expected and they have quoted about 12 weeks for a 12-50x56 PMII, most certainly not ex-stock or within a week or two.
