activeviii
Was asked to deal with a problem vixen a few days ago, cubs needed to be delt with as well but because one cub was left and I couldn't get on it the decision was made to leave the vixen and dog for now until cub was able to fend for its self. 4 cubs were distroyed due to their location and problems caused.Just on dark, in an other area of the farm, Gunner delt with a dog fox with his rather heavy, but very nice, custom 20p. 180 meters, head shot and it was all over.Well, tonight Gunner said for me to bring a gun, with the night vision on so we could knock a few more over. After a few hours poking around and 5 foxes later it was time to leave the rest for another day.Just like to thank Gunner for the invite out. I'm know knackered and about ready for bed. But not before putting a couple more photos up.First two of the nightThen one we couldn't find but 100% deadGunner is now posted with fox 4Then we creaped in on 5 as it was on the sheep feedes next to old Brock. Little low bit its the same result.4 taken from the same field. Bumped one more as I walk in on it only to find it 10 meters away. So, all in all a successful evening and a good hit on thinning the numbers.Thqnk you Gunner, don't care what they say, your a good sort. Will have to hit the gongs again soon. Thanks for looking in gentsAll the bestPhil
Paddy_SP
Excellent - well done to you both! We only managed one last night (number 141 since Jan 1st) - but hopefully, it's the individual that's been causing the chicken farmer problems recently. activeviii
Cheers paddy, I stopped counting the yearly totals a very long time ago. But then I normally lamp and call for others to shoot, carrying guns about does me no favours. But, I have shot the last 3 time out. Twice with Gunner and last week with another good friend. This is the result of one of the shots last week end.Only took the fat fox 30 minutes to eat this amount. Was 1 of 3 that night.Everything delt with on the .
gunner
Thanks paddy and Sir phil for shooting very well as well as calling in that rather shy one , nite vision works a treat . That .222 is a perfect foxing rifle even tho your reloads were wonky and tape holding scope together lol . Gongs - yes soon later this week hopefully , atb. Tim. PS that was first fox with that 20p a nice easy shot , i know it aint gunna be its last !
