Nightforce ATACR with MOAR

Recommended Posts

Has anyone used/using a Nightforce ATACR with MOAR

Have Nightforce really improved the glass to be on par with the likes of a Schmidt & Bender PM11?

Is the MOAR as fine as a P4 fine?

Your thoughts of to buy or not to buy would be greatly received.

Scope would be used for long range varmints and targets.

Quality of glass-probably nothing quite touches the premium euro glass,BUT.....

See a revealing review in Precision Shooting blog-scopes,......S&B and a NF do very well (top 2) -remember varminting has it's own desiderata....as do all the different shooting disciplines....

Yep,that's the one- BEAST was v close to S&B,ATACR more middle of field,but it's a pretty good field,and the review has some surprises perhaps...well worth a read,now that it's easily located-many thanks,'max'.

My Atacr moar T ret is fine need to use illuminated ret at night for foxing , and the glass is as good as my pm2 that is with my mk1 eyeball , I find the light gathering is very good a low light ,has a lot more elevation than pm2 , the moar ret is about the same as pm2 , in my opinion , and the T reticule is better for finer pin point shots , and better aim off as the marks are in moa ,

Nice to give info, from someone who has used one , not a link

I agree with this. I have one too and get along with it famously! I can't compare it to the glass in a PMII because I've never had the good fortune to peer thru one!

The reticule is great. Working MOA/MOA is definatly better than having different units of measure on different parts of the scope.

There's a huge difference in the in the MOAR & MOAR-T. I have the latter in my ATACR and the MOAR in my NXS. The MOAR-T is really nice and fine and keeps those long range targets visible.

Tracking is excellent too... Mine is often wound up to 35 MOA + and when it comes back to its 'Zero Stop' ... It's bang on the money.

Tonight I will see about the reticule at night as I'm going after Charlie!

I have been looking for information on the real world difference between these two options. Any more thoughts on pro/cons and preference?
