They are the same system. I believe 911 also works here. Also the text message part he talks about is intended for the deaf or hard of hearing and should only be used as a last resort so as to not overload the system. All of the aforementioned are for emergency only , SMS or calls, as the clip says 112 works in over 70 countries , 999 only works in the UK.
