CliveWard
Hi All, We were out last week testing our new 50mm single battery IR illuminator, the Ward T501 in conjunction with the Ward D Vision 700 night vision add on. The only rifle I had with a day scope left on it was the Anschutz .22 XIV carbine. Not having used the old loopy .22 for a while I had to have a plan and stick to it. I set the 3-12x44 compact scope on 10x magnification and set the focus with the IR to be just still in focus at 65 yards (my zero range). Then out in the field if it was on the edge of being clear I could aim on, and just remember to hold under for the closer shots which would be at midrange trajectory. The system worked really well and we had a successful, quiet, cheap few hours shooting. Here's a montage of a few where I remembered to press record on the Lawmate out of the 14 or so we picked up in a couple of hours. http://youtu.be/IP5BlE1vbgU Cheers Clive
