Hi, the barrels are custom made to your specifications. So whatever profile you care to dream up is ok. As for prices. Please refer to you local gunsmith for a fitted price as we are supplying the blanks to the trade. Thanks

Not much info there, would you care to give us any hints as to what range of cals, twists etc you will be offering

It's a UK made item that we've all been yearning for, so why so secretive about profiles and prices?

They are not being secretive about profiles, they have said that if you have one in mind they can probably do it....made to order rather than stocked on shelf items....True Custom barrels IMO. Prices; they are trade only with trade price lists, which trade members on here will be aware of. Joe Public's prices will vary depending upon the gunsmith doing the work and i suppose how much they charge for their labour costs for completing the barrel to the spec you want...best advice shop around.

Oh and before anybody asks i have no connection with GB Barrels. I am confident enough however to trust the heritage of previous Border cut Barrels. Hence the reason i have committed to buying one.

Span one up in April for a 30-378 Weatherby. Very straight barrel, good machinability, no reason to believe it won't be a great shooting rifle.

They are priced comparable to any other cut rifled barrel in the UK, expect to pay around £390 inc vat for a blank.

They have also gone back to using the Barmond 416 stainless which Border originally used before Geoff switched to an alternate supplier.

Yes, that's a great pity. Is there a reason for it? It's not illegal to sell someone a blank.

Just a pity they wont sell direct to Joe Public.

Why do you think they won't? I have heard Sassen are trade only but not GB to my knowledge. I put an order in without trouble, just waiting for delivery.

I didn't realise there were two different outfits. I thought they were the previous Border guys............thanks for the heads up.

As far as I know the old Border employees split with some going south to brummy Sassen and others staying in Dumfries and Galloway to start GB barrels. Essentially at this time Sassen produce button rifled and GB cut rifled tubes. If I am wrong in these thoughts then I would welcome being corrected.
