Fishnshoot
Just after some info regarding the t38. I'm thinking about one of these on top of the rifle/scope to keep weight down. What kind of distance will the beam go on full spot? And also how does it do with flood? Any advise would be appreciated. Ta..
Fishnshoot
Seen a reveiw of a t20, Id expect the 38 would be pretty much the same but a little better, so think that would be good enough for me.
gaz6br
I use a t20 and that's fine so yes the t38 should be a step up I guess Gaz
JB1
I recon that you're going to be good for 175yds on Charlie, didn't get what cal your using. Ive had rabbit's at 200 plus but that was a NM800 X searcher which I guess would be pretty similar.

JB1
Gaz very possible but I would rather underestimate than mention silly distances, quarry id is vital whilst lamping as you know.
Fishnshoot
Cheers guys, I'm using .223 xbolt running 50g vmax under a zeiss duryilit 3x12x50. I'm not looking at taking long range night shots, 100-200yd stuff for Charlie, and I'm pretty sure the t38 would be ample for that, but I'd like to know what kind of distance they can be seen at to them call them in. I've got a buffalo river Cree T6 handheld rechargeable for scanning around with and that's good for 250yds. Its good if I've got someone else working it, but would like to be able to use that first, then once the eyes have been lit up switch to something gun mounted to take the shot. JB1
You'll be fine with the equipment of your choice 200 is achievable. Don't give them too much lamp whilst spotting and keep it low kr by the time you get onto the rifle they're well away, or you could always go down the nv route lol but that's lime cheating ;-)
Fishnshoot
I'll get a nv monoc for scanning for when I'm out myself, but that will need to wait till funds are more readily avalible. Plus I like lamping with my mate, it makes for a better night. Cheers for the info
skany
Hi Guys don't expect any more from the T38 over a t20 same led same lens = same performance! The t38 is however a little more compact and a lot easier to swap out led inserts ! all in all a little more user friendly cheers Andy
