fizzbangwhallop Posted December 12, 2014 Report Share Posted December 12, 2014 Following on from Danny's black fox last month.... was out beating yesterday and on duty with the Benelli M2 12b on the off-chance of catching up with foxes we haven't been able to sort with the rifle. Standing quietly on the edge of a small pit in the wood near the flushing point (I like flushing points ) .... this fellah was taking his usual escape route out of it. I'd seen him a month before but being lower into the pit to get a decent field of view around the nettles it wasn't a safe shot. Cracked it this time though. He didn't have a clue, just caught the movement of the gun before he copped it at about 10yards. Classic looking fox, plenty of black in his coat and think his dad was either an alsation.... or a badger. Shame the phone camera doesn't really show the black at it's best.
