Set up in a makeshift high seat which is the crutch of a four limbed Ash (similar to a cupped hand with fingers splayed upward) and waited for another cub to come to the caller, typically it approached unexpectedly in my blindspot over my right shoulder and I noticed it watching the caller from the corner of my eye. The only way I could have got a shot off would be to shoot the rifle sideways "gangsta" style. Rather than risk fluffing the shot and educating it, turned the caller off and waited for it to leave, on the plus side the deer are doing very well with some very healthy specimens observed.

As you know it ain't allways about the shooting ! It all adds to experience . I drew a blank last but 1 outing , spent 3 hours stalking up down and around the hill i shoot near Cheltenham , not a single vermin quarry to be seen on the deck , was primarily looking for magpie . atb tim
