hunter87
Hi guys just a quick question I hope someone might be able to help me with. I have seen there are two models of sako finnfire p94s a varmint and a hunter model the hunter has open sights and the varmint is ready to take a scope if for instance I bought the hunter and decided at a later date to put a scope on it would the stock cheek piece be lower as it was made for open sights
gbal
It's usually possible to get what you want-for example Hunter's do a padded cheek piece for £35?,that will raise a low comb,if need be,and there are cheaper rubber heighteners that just fit along the top of the stock....scopes can vary quite a bit in height too, because of the objective lens size, though perhaps less so in likely rf models (and simply cheek profile/style of shooter).Usually fixable. gbal
fizzbangwhallop
Just compared 2 sporters and a varmint and there's no difference in the profile between them. Cheers Fizz
leeroy
I think they are the same rifle just the diameter of the barrel only difference . You could order either rifle with or without open sights.
Dalua
I think the Finnfire Range had an adjustable cheek-piece. My Hunter, which did not come with open sights, is fine with a 6x42 scope.
