gaz6br
Just been out with the dogs and it's a cold still night and I could hear the foxes calling, in the national forests that surrounds the village. Time to change the fox pro calls I think Gaz

happyhunter
Last week of October I was asked to deal with two foxes a farmer had seen daily on his CCTV cameras in the yard trying their hardest to get into his pen of golden pheasants. After shooting the first (a real runt of a young dog fox) a vixen started screaming from the neighbouring farm every time I used the distress hare call, switching to red fox cub distress she came straight in. They way she acted you'd of thought it was May/June not October... Haven't heard a fox since, a decent spell of frost usually gets them going. Paddy_SP
Yep - we had them calling here when it was cold, but then it warmed up and all went quiet. Won't be long now though!
