mole-e30
UKBRA 600 Yard – Round 2 – 9th November 2014 Sunday saw the second round of the 600 yard Benchrest league at Diggle Ranges. The weather was a good as it gets, virtually no wind, sunshine and no rain, clearly the benchrest gods were looking down favourably on us today. We had a great turnout as well with 29 shooters. The 6mm calibres were certainly becoming dominant in 600 yard benchrest, with over a dozen people choosing the 6mmBR cartridge alone, plus others with 6mm Dashers, 6x47 etc this is true for both Light and Heavy Gun classes. We also had 2 new light gun records set today, both small group and aggregate. It was definitely one of the best days I have ever seen to test out a your own skills and the potential of your rifle and load, many certainly took full advantage of this, with no fewer than 8 sub 2” groups being shot. So onto the results. Light Gun1. Bruce Lenton – 2.332" (Average of 4 x 5 shot groups) – NEW UKBRA RECORD2. Ian Dixon – 2.737"3. Tony Lenton – 2.819"Small Group – Gary Stewart – 1.214” – NEW UKBRA RECORDHeavy Gun1. Bruce Lenton – 2.867" (Average of 4 x 5 shot groups)2. Tony Lenton – 3.011"3. Jonathan Walker – 3.546"Small Group – Bruce Lenton – 1.688"Factory Sporter1. Darrell Evans – 3.053" (Average of 4 x 5 shot groups)2. Mike Walker – 5.208"3.
