wheelybins
I have finally taken the plunge and got rid of my .17HMR after years of it not performing as I hoped and after much deliberation replaced it with a .22 Hornet. I went for the Hornet as it is dirt cheap to re-load and should be way more gun than the .17. I took it out for its first test last night and it is absolutely fantastic, I only missed 1 rabbit all night. Just before we were about to call it a night I gave the new rifle to my long time shooting accomplice John for him to have a go. Would you believe that in less than 5 minutes a fox wandered into plain view 150yds away and just stood there asking to be shot. John dropped the fox with a perfect centre chest shot and hasn't stopped grinning since. I feel unreasonably pissed off that he got the first fox with it and he certainly isn't going to let me forget it. Cheers Graham

wheelybins
I have to say that I am very pleased with it. And for £370 including scope I think it was a real bargain.

Nice job. I am of the opinion that the Hornet is capable of doing the job that the .17HMR was supposed to do but was never quite up to.
