TLD SR 200 Moderator

Recommended Posts

Looking at a mod that can be used on a few rifles (308, 270, 6.5 x 47 and possible 6mm) for the rainge mainly.

One that seems like a good idea is the TLD where the thread adapter can be changed. A few years ago the TLDs seemed to have a less than favourable reputation. Anyone know if things have improved on the general qulaity of these?

I purchased the moderator and the fit is very nice and threads on really nicely. Accuracy seems to be very good with the unit on. The only issue being is that as far as actually moderating the muzzle blast, I am not sure it does much. It is by far the least (to my ears) efficient moderator I have used . I took one shot with it on without ear defenders as wished I hadn't. Seems ridiculous you need to go through a variation to change it...I think I will go for a Northstar (I have one on my 270 WSM and it is excellent).
