T8 stamped numbers , anyone know what they mean ?

Recommended Posts

Anyone know what the codes mean on the ends of the T8 's ??

I have seen one marked

AU T8M 30 14 assume 30 cal but what's the rest

Also another is T8 E3 AU

Final part , is there an easy way to check the thread size ? I have an old T8 off my rebarreled 243 and I cannot remember the thread size that used to be on it as I'm trying to standardise all mine on a 18/1 thread hence that's what the new barrel was cut , thanks for looking

Ian

The numbers refer to the calibre and thread size.

Contact Jacksons to give specific details on codes

Thanks for your answers

I had some thread guages that would allow me to measure t p I and assume internal dia would give size , I just can't see a way to measure that 6 inches down the inside of the sleeve , or are there other types of guages ( sorry if I'm being thick now !) I'll drop jacksons a line tomo , thanks again

You need a thread plug gauge.

Just give Jacksons a call, they will be able to tell you straight away what the thread is from the code.

Close , BUT wrong .

BR Tuote , is the company that designed the reflex type suppressor series , they donot make them , Ase Utra make them for them , as well as their own designed AU suppressors .

In short AU make T8 Reflex cans under contract for the BR Tuote company/brand .

AU also make their own designed cans under their own name .
