Ronin
Been interested in a 223 for a while - I have a 22 AR on order. Anyway, I digress Seen a Decade Corp MG4 A5 - it has a crappy for end, but its a flat top and has a pull out stock. AR converts please bear with me, I know its like the same as the aftermarket trick 700 parts……... Asking for opinions on the rifle / brand - it says UK built…its pretty clean Is it UK built? Is it decent quality or crap? Should I look elsewhere? Discuss,,,,please.
bradders
Made in Viet f**kin' Nam....as the said in Forrest Gump That said, quality of the receivers and BCG is OK. Barrel and chamber are chrome lined, so if it has any extraction issues you are stuffed as you can't just run another reamer in there. Barrel is a 1:9 All the ancillaries leave a bit to be desired. Upper receiver with forward assist and case deflector don't lend themselves too well to side charger conversion. So while it may appear cheap (and it possibly isn't) if you want to modify it into anything half decent, it's going to get spendy

Thanks Gary I have and have a 22AR on order. I also want a 5.56 and the Decade has come on the radar, hence the question. Anyone else with a view on this rifle? It has one nail already….its immaterial now anyway, but I just wondered what anyone else with Ar experience thought. Ive had my arm twisted anyway towards a certain fellows wares and will be asking for one of his come the time

On the other hand, don't close your mind to the fact that the Decade Corp MG4 A5 will save you money. - if you speak to the Irish bloke it all spirals out of control and this sort of thing happens:

Maybe in the short term but you will probably end up spending more as you move towards total satisfaction.

I was being ironic! Shot it yet? Quickly stuck the PM2 on it and put 6 or 7 GGG through it at 200 yds (or m?) on short siberia; think it was doing about 1 MOA; then at 300yds on Century, another 6 or 7 with GGG and it looked to be 1.5MOA at that distance. John MH
Very acceptable for GGG, that will easily shrink with your new Forster Dies.
