Guest Stacka
Does any one have any experience of these? Are they any good?
Shuggy
I think that the first ones have only just come into the county. The price certainly looks good.
DW58
I've got an MDT Tac21 for Tikka T3 which is about to go onto a new Tikka T3 Super Varmint .300WSM. The engineering and finish is amazing - I'm pretty sure that this will be the same on the LSS. Here is my Tac21 chassis system with skeleton stock - yes, I know the trigger guard/magazine housing has been laid out facing the wrong way This will be going on my new rifle as soon as it arrives, it's currently en-route from Finland. The lower photo of the boxed kit shows the true FDE colour.
Guest Stacka
I'm looking for one for my T3 lite in .222 I'm assuming the .223 action will fit fine. How do you find the stock fit?

DW58
Tikka only make one action size in the T3 - the three action "lengths" actually refer to calibre groups and this actually refers to the length of bolt-stroke which is regulated by the type of bolt-stop. I'm expecting my T3 Super Varmint sometime within the next fortnight as it's currently en-route from Tikka at Riihimäki to the UK. I've done a massive amount of research on the MDT chassis systems, including quite a lot of contact with both Modular Driven Technologies in the US and Canada and with satisfied MDT users. Fit is very good with the chassis having been CNC cut specifically for the T3 action which screws into a V-bedding block. As you can see I have MDT's own stock which I prefer to any of the AR15/M4 units. This fits the chassis extremely well via a mini buffer tube which screws directly into the chassis rear cap and bolts into the front of the stock which when located directly onto the rear of the chassis locking with a rotary camming pin and friction lever. The quality of the Tac21 and presumably LSS is above and beyond what I had expected when I ordered and I won't hesitate to buy again, and bearing in mind I'm currently looking for a .308 T3 Varmint, I probably will - in fact I'm awaiting the release of a revised LSS with a longer/wider/heavier forend. Hope this helps.
Guest Stacka
Yeah I'm after the longer LSS chassis hopefully it will balance better.
DW58
I wanted the heavier Tac21 for my .300 WSM built to absorb the .300 WSM recoil better, but quite fancy an LSS for a .308 T3. The MDT skeleton stock which will fit either chassis is a work of art with adjustment for length of pull, comb height, and the but pad is adjustable up and down and for tilt. Major Disorder
I should have a couple of the LSS chassis systems in my hands when the MDT magazine delivery ship to me next week. I'll post some pics and weights add soon as I get them in.

Presumably they were used in Practical Optic class?

Presumably they were used in Practical Optic class? They were certainly very nice and not over bulky or over heavy (which seems to afflict then majority of custom builds in the UK) I liked them. As for performance, as with everything in CSR, shooting ability always wins over kit. Something worth bearing in mind Homeys
Shuggy
Many thanks. CSR sounds interesting, but I am fairly certain that my ~19lbs AICS build would put me at a bit of a disadvantage!
Strangely Brown
Many thanks. CSR sounds interesting, but I am fairly certain that my ~19lbs AICS build would put me at a bit of a disadvantage! There are 135 years between the two of us in the picture (and two AI's), CSR isn't that difficult!
