Guys

A friend of a friend has a rabbit problem around their horse paddock/ land.

Free rabbit shooting is offered for experienced/ safe hunters.

Close to Junction 18 on M4, Bristol / Bath area, which is too far away for me to cover.

I've not seen the land in question, so I can't answer any safety questions regarding shooting, etc...

Please pm me & I'll pass your details on ;-)

Thanks for the pm's guys.

I shall pass your details onto the Landowner tonight & they can contact you direct to discuss.

Hopefully you can help them out & acquire regular shooting rights :-)

I have asked them to give you written permission, etc :-)

Around horse paddocks people normally get funny about shooting, we use ferrets and nets much safer and no chance of spooking a horse.

Chap not to far from me shot a fox one night in his paddock, women's horse next door ended up jumping it to there swimming pool fire man at to lift it out with crain.

Just a thought

Yeah, but it sounds like they are infested with rabbits & scared of the horses getting lame from rabbit holes...

Other people are shooting on the adjacent farmland next door with shotguns, not sure if this is for rabbit or other game...

But so long as they have notice for their land, to see to the horses, they're ok.

The horses are normally stable at night too.

So evening/ night rabbit shooting with a .22 lr is no prob. NV a bonus :-)

Daytime with a moderated .22 should't be a problem, as long as they know you're there ...

They will insist on conditions because of the horses, buts thats got to be expected :-)

Just wish I lived closer...

All "pm" details handed over tonight.

But they are on holiday this week, so you might not get a call for a few days :-)

Sounds like someone will have fun then :) ferrets and nets we can take up to 40 rabbits in a day ;) so it's a good way of control if you do it right

I didn't think about ferrets, just though someone on here could get some decent shooting...

Anyway, all 6 pm's passed on the the landowner. As I said, she's on holiday this week so hopefully she'll be in touch with some of you next week :-)

Can you read dates, John?

Also, giving out your email address and phone number for all to see is not a good idea...
